An Abuse of Treaties Could Tell Parents How to Raise their Children
Air Date: 04/27/2011
Summary: By our constitution, treaties are considered to be the supreme law of the land. Their purpose is to maintain friendly relations between the US and other countries. The current administration is trying to press an agenda by accepting a treaty for “rights of the child.” This would give children legal rights above that of their parents. Every parent would be forced to answer to the government on every point on how they raise their children. Will Estrada of Home School Legal Defense, enlightens us as to the dangers this treaty would entail. This is serious abuse of treaties; our founding fathers never intended treaties to be used in such a manner. In fact, they advise to use treaties sparingly.
