Faith And The Culture

RICK:

Welcome to the intersection of faith and the culture. This is WallBuilders Live! Where we”€™re talking about today”€™s hottest topics on policy, faith, and the culture. We always do that from a Biblical, historical, and Constitutional perspective.

Very special guest today, Mitch Danzig, is back with us today. We’re gonna be diving into a hot topic of the day, no doubt about it. It has to do with a member of Congress who is connected to folks that are definitely involved in radical Islamic terrorism. And, very few people are calling her out on this.

Welcome Mitch Danzig

Of course, Mitch Danzig”€™s not afraid to do that. Mitch, always good to have you, man. Thanks for coming on the program.

MITCH DANZIG:

Appreciate being on. Thank you for having me.

RICK:

Well, David said, “€œMan, we got to ask Mitch about this report on Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, and just all the pro-terrorist inner circle, not just people she’s had contact with, but frankly, inner-circle folks that she’s got, in the exposé that has been put out on that by the Israeli advocacy movement out of England. So, he said, “€œLet’s get Mitch and see what he thinks.”€ Have you watched this video?

MITCH DANZIG:

I’ve not seen the video; but, I’m well aware of the information in the report and of the fact there’s a lot of people that she’s proudly had in her inner circle, or commended for their role in her campaign, and who she had at her at “€œvery special,”€ as you put it, personal dinner and swearing in ceremony when she first became a member of Congress. I mean, she doesn’t hide any of this. And, she doesn’t hide the fact that she essentially openly calls for the destruction of Israel. RICK:

Yeah.

Advocating for “€œPalestinians”€

MITCH DANZIG:

She has no problem with advocating for the creation of a 23rd Arab state for a people that she refers to as “€œPalestinians,”€ whose separate ethnicity was developed indisputably in the 20th century, who already have a state that is made up of almost 80 percent Palestinian Arabs in Jordan, that was created out of the original Palestine mandate for Britain in 1921. She has no problem advocating for that 23rd state for that people.

But, she wants to destroy the one Jewish state for a people that have been in existence as a separate people for 3500. That troubles her.

RICK:

Yeah, it’s hard to believe that– how far? You wouldn’t have to go back that many years for it to be impossible for someone like this to be elected to Congress, stay in Congress, and be fawned over by the left-wing media. Every time she mentions impeachment of Trump, they want to interview her again.

18 Associations Exposed

But if you just go back a few years, even just one association”€”and, I think in this expose, there are18 that they’ve gone through so far–just one association like these folks who celebrate terrorism, the killing of Jews, and then and the calling for their annihilation, would have kept her from ever winning an office like this. Yet, here she is, not only in office, not only in Congress, but now has a team of a small group of freshman congresswoman who are right there with her, advocating some of the same things. And, of course, the media loving it; it’s hard to believe.

MITCH DANZIG:

Yeah. Look at how the media responded, for the most part, and how, certainly her colleagues in the Democratic Party, unfortunately in Congress, responded to her terrible statements on the Skullduggery  podcast where she talked about how the Palestinians supposedly lost their land due to the Holocaust and how the Palestinians supposedly gave a safe haven to the Jewish people during and after the Holocaust. That was truly tragic.

Let’s put aside for a moment that they want to give her a pass for having a guy like {Mufak} Jabbar as a person that she personally thanked for campaigning with her. This is a guy who  tweeted out how he honors the chief bomb maker of Hamas, a gentleman responsible for the deaths of at least 75 Jews. Set aside that he tweeted a call for violence against Jews where he said, “€œToday is for you; but, tomorrow be for us, and Hitler will be a dove in comparison.”€

No Sense of Morality

We can set that aside, perhaps, right? Or, the fact that at her dinner and her swearing in ceremony where she had just her closest, private friends and family with her, she had a guy who’s a known Hezbollah supporter, a man by the name of Abbas Hamideh, who himself  has tweeted repeatedly a support for Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, who himself has tweeted that he wants all of the Jews, the quote “€œIsraeli Jews returned to Poland.”€

But–as if that’s where Jews all were during the Diaspora. And, it’s also, by the way, the place where 3 million Jews were killed during the Holocaust. Does the man have no sense of morality?

RICK:

Right.

MITCH DANZIG:

He wants the Jews who live in Israel to be forced to go to a country where 3 million Jews were killed during the Holocaust? That’s his idea of justice?  So, listen; that’s who she’s associated with.

But, so the Democrats in Congress and the Democratic leadership want to give her a pass on that. Okay; well, what about this gross distortion of what she said during this Skullduggery  podcasts just a few weeks ago?

No Accountability for Democrats

RICK:

If you hold her accountable to actually having to speak truth, then you’ve got a long list of Democrats you’ve got trouble with. But seriously, there’s no accountability for the statements that they make. We just smile and move on.

MITCH DANZIG:

And, I will say that some Republicans, not all, but some Republicans are responding to this ridiculous podcast by Rashida Tlaib did us–the pro-Israel community, the Jewish community–no favors because they did take her words out of context. She wasn’t saying that the thought of 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust gives her a calming feeling. That was something that some Republicans, unfortunately, ran with I think, because they actually didn’t read fully what she said, and they got a third-hand report of it and ran with it.

But then, by doing that, they gave the Democrats who were defending her ammo.

RICK:

Yeah.

Propagating Palestinian-Arab Myths

MITCH DANZIG:

And, nobody actually examined the horror of what she actually did say. She propagated what is sadly a common Palestinian Arab myth. They have two myths that they propagate all the time. One is that Israel exists because of the Holocaust.

And, the second is that Palestinian Arabs somehow out of the kindness of their heart, gave refuge to the Jews who were fleeing the Holocaust or after the Holocaust. Then, these nefarious Jews, in this weird world of theirs, this bizarro world, then turned around and stabbed them in the back and stole their homes and their land. That’s the myth; and, all of it is 100 percent a lie. So, first we have to look at the idea that Israeli exists because of the Holocaust. That’s nonsense, right? The Holocaust happened because there was no Israel. But Israel doesn’t exist because of the Holocaust.

RICK:

Right.

Jews and the Land of Israel

MITCH DANZIG:

Jews were returning to the Land of Israel. First of all, Jews always lived in the Land of Israel; but, they began returning in in larger numbers in the 19th century. The term “€œZionism”€ itself was coined in 1885, to mean “€œsupport for a Jewish state in the Jewish people’s historic and indigenous homeland.”€

And, the first major uptick in Jewish return, or Jews returning to live in the Land of Israel, in the land of Zion, started in 1880, all well before the Holocaust. Then, by 1922, the Jewish community in British-controlled Palestine, which had been liberated from the Ottoman Empire, which had controlled it for 500 years at that point, had its own self-governing body. And, by the start of World War II, before 1939, there were half a million Jews living in the area “€œfrom the river to the sea,”€ from the Jordan River to the sea, that was still governed by the British after they had taken 78 percent of the Palestine Mandate and turned it to Jordan.

There were 500,000 Jews living there already and about a million Arabs. So, there was clearly two large communities, Arab Muslims or Christians and Jews, already living under British control before World War II and the Holocaust. So, the idea of Jews having self-determination and independence and an indigenous homeland, did not come about because the holocaust.

RICK:

Yeah.

Arabs Have a History of Attaching Jews

MITCH DANZIG:

Second and more importantly, the Arabs for the most part, not all Arabs, but their leadership and certainly as a global group, they violently opposed Jews thriving and living in British-controlled Palestine. They regularly engaged in pogroms and riots and attacked Jews and killed Jews. In 1929, all of the Jews living in Hebron were either murdered or ethnically cleansed from the city.

These Jewish communities had lived there for over a thousand years.

RICK:

Wow.

MITCH DANZIG:

The Mufti of Jerusalem, and a guy by the name of Haj Amin al-Husseini was openly pro-Nazi. In fact, he not only led riots against Jews and spread lies about the Jews trying to destroy Al-Aqsa.

That probably sounds familiar because the Palestinian-Arab leadership does that today.

They caused Jews to die. He was engaging regularly with the Nazi leadership. In fact, he  worked with and visited with German troops during World War II and led a group of SS soldiers in the Balkans to hunt down and kill Jews.

RICK:

Wow. And, he was a leader of that territory that was there before the war had even started.

Creating a New Country: Jordan

MITCH DANZIG:

So, when the British came into power after and took control of what was once, along with the French, the Ottoman Empire–the British gained control in 1917, of what is today both Jordan and Israel. And, they almost immediately, in 1921, took almost more than three quarters of the Palestine Mandate and created the new and never-before-in existence-country of Jordan. At the same time, they were negotiating with the Jews who were living primarily west of the Jordan River, as well as the Arabs who were living, at that point, west of the Jordan River.

And, the Jews under Ben-Gurion had established already a self-governing body called the Jewish Agency. They were running their own schools, having their own elections. They really had a de facto government going on.

The Arabs didn’t have anything of that nature going on; but, their de facto leader became the Mufti of Jerusalem shortly after the British took over. He was basically the leader of one of most powerful clans in British-controlled Palestine at the time. And, he was openly anti-Semitic, openly pro-Nazi, advocated aggressively to stop Jewish immigration.

In fact, he advocated for Jews to be deported from a British-controlled Palestine, back to their lands. And again, Jews one only coming from lands trying to flee the Nazis and get a safe haven to escape the Nazis. There were Jews who had moved there from Yemen, from Iraq, from Morocco, from numerous other places besides Europe.

Rashida Tlaib”€™s Lies

But, certainly, primarily at that time because what was going on in Europe, the overwhelming majority of Jews were trying to get out of Dodge, so to speak, and get a safe haven in their natural, indigenous, and religious homeland, where Jews trying to get out of Europe. And, it was because of the Palestine Arab leadership, particularly the Mufti of Jerusalem, that the British, despite their promises to the Jewish community after World War 1, instituted something called the White Paper, which limited Jewish immigration to 50,000 people a year at a time when millions of Jews were facing certain death at the hands of the Nazis.

And so, when Rashida Tlaib talks about this “€œsafe haven”€ they were creating for Jews, it’s an outright lie. It’s completely ahistorical. Then again, the this idea that they lost their land or lost something because after the Holocaust when the world realized what a tragedy was caused because the Jews had no independent homeland to go to–and because the entire world basically closed their doors on the Jewish people at a time when we needed, desperately, a place to go to–because the world had that flash of conscious for a moment and forgot its virulent anti-Semitism and agreed to a partition plan.

That’s not why any Palestinian lost their home. And, that’s another part of their big myth. There were Jews living there, like I said 500,000. By the time Israel declared independence in 1948, there were 600,000 Jews living there.

The Arabs Started the War and Lost

And, no Arab would have lost a single home in the creation of the independent Jewish state that was contemplated under the U.N. partition plan if the Arab side had said “€œyes.”€ But, they said “€œno.”€ Not only did they say “€œno,”€ but the local Palestinian Arabs and their leaders joined in the Arab League declaration that if the Jews dared declare their independence state, that there would be a slaughter that would make Genghis Khan”€™s massacres pale in comparison.

RICK:

Wow.

MITCH DANZIG:

And, they launched an all-out war to obliterate the Jewish state on the day of its inception. That war, that rejection of the partition plan, is what caused Arabs who lose their homes. If they hadn’t done that, no Arab would have lost their home. But they are the ones who started the war”€”again, a self-described war of annihilation.

And, they want to take no responsibility for it. If you start a war and you lose it, you bear the consequences of it. Nobody says today that the Germans are the victims of World War II; Germans indisputably lost a lot in World War 2. Millions and millions of Germans died.

I think 8 million Germans died during World War II. Cities in Germany were obliterated. They lost a lot; but, nobody paints them as the victim.

RICK:

Right. Right.

MITCH DANZIG:

Yet, the Palestinians every year celebrate what they call their Nakba Day. And, Nakba Day “€” “€œNakba”€ means “€œcatastrophe”€ in Arabic. And this is the day Israel was created, that   the modern state of Israel declared its independence and was founded.

Imagine if today Germany, every year Germans commemorated a “€œcatastrophe day”€ being the day that they lost World War 2.

RICK:

Wow. Yeah

The Arabs Chose Not to Have a State

MITCH DANZIG:

That’s what’s going on here. They declared, not Israel–Israel simply declared its independence, pursuant to the U.N. partition plan. The Arabs could have declared their own independence at that time and created the first-ever independent Arab state, west of the Jordan River.

They chose not to because having a state wasn’t that important to them, but killing all the Jews and destroying the one Jewish state, that mattered more. So, they joined an all-out war, joined by seven other Arab countries, to obliterate the state of Israel. They lost.

As a result of that loss, there were Arabs who were turned into refugees. By the way, there were also Jews who were turned into refugees. First of all, every Jew living in what is called the West Bank today–what I call Judea and Samaria–and in the Old City of Jerusalem, was either murdered, killed, or forced out of their home by the Jordanian army because the Jordanian army conquered that land, including the old city of Jerusalem, in the 1948 War.

Every Jew was ethnically cleansed or killed, from Judea and Samaria and the Old City of Jerusalem, as a result of the war the Arabs started; but, they’re not refugees, the ones who fled, the ones who were the ones who were forced out of their homes. They ended up in living in what became Israel after 1948. And, at the same time, 850,000 Jews were forced out of various Arab countries, from Morocco all the way to Iraq.

In Iraq, there were Jewish communities there since the time of the Babylonians. Jews have predated any Arabs living there. Yet, they were forced out of their homes by Iraq; and, their descendants that live in Israel.

Little Response to Revisionist History

RICK:

Why is there so little response of this Rashida Tlaib and others like her that spout these revisions of history? Why is there so little counter to that? And, actually, Mitch, hold that thought.

I’ve got to take a quick break. Folks, stay with us. I’ll be right back.

RICK:

Welcome back to WallBuilders Live! Thanks for staying with us. We’re with Mitch Danzig.

We’re talking about Rashida Tlaib, the terrorism connections that she has, and just the revision of history that is spouted by her.

And, Mitch, as we were going to the break, I was saying that you’ve just given us a great education on the real history there. But, why is it that we hear so little of that? Why is it that the other side’s got a megaphone?

They’re teaching it all throughout our college campuses, and we rarely hear the true history like you just shared.

People are Ignorant of History

MITCH DANZIG:

I think it’s two things. First of all, many people are ignorant of the history. We’ve been told over and over and over again this myth of the Palestinian people, the Palestinian refugees. And, people want to make or recite pleasantries like “€œOh, I know the Palestinian people have suffered.”€

Which is true; but, they don’t get into the meat of why they’ve suffered. Yes, it’s true; the people who, since about 1950, have called themselves “€œPalestinian Arabs”€ have suffered. But, you know  what?

The Germans after World War I and World War II suffered.

RICK:

Right.

MITCH DANZIG:

The people of the South, after the Civil War, suffered.

RICK:

Yeah.

MITCH DANZIG:

They suffered because they chose to engage in a war that was immoral. Right? And, they lost that war.

The people who were supporting slavery in the South fought to preserve slavery. Did they suffer as a result? You betcha, right?

Do the Palestinians Deserve to Suffer?

RICK:

Right.

MITCH DANZIG:

People who fought for the Germans in World War I and World War II, and the German people themselves, suffered as a result of the losses incurred in those wars. Did they deserve it?

Of course, right?

The same thing”€™s going on here. The Palestinian Arabs said “€œno”€ in 1937 to the first partition plan that was offered to them by the British under what’s called the Peel Commission. They refused.

They never had a state before and didn’t even call themselves Palestinians then. Who knows what they would’ve called their state, had they said “€œyes”€ to it. but they said “€œno”€ to it. Then, World War II happened.

And, because the Jewish people didn’t have an independent homeland as a result of the British caving in to the Arab demands, millions of Jews died. We know that. Then, in 1948, the U.N. was formed and voted on a partition plan.

Again, the Jews said “€œyes”€ to it. And, the Arabs said “€œno.”€ The fact of the matter is, they just don’t want any consequence for saying “€œno.”€

They want to be able to say “€œno”€ and to launch war after war after war, violent attack after a violent attack, and suffer no consequences for it. But, that’s how the real world works.

RICK:

How, politically, do you get a congresswoman like this who spouts this kind of stuff? {What can be done to} hold her accountable?

Holding Them Accountable

MITCH DANZIG:

Well, I think we have to hold everybody, the media and the politicians, accountable to the truth, the facts, accountable to history. You can’t just make stuff up, right? And, that’s what she’s doing.

Frankly, I would say the reality is, the Israel haters have to make up history, because the real history doesn’t help their cause. So, we have to hold them to the facts, hold them to the truth, hold them to account. And, the reality is that they’re doing their cause, their people, no favors.

Because until the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians today, recognize, as the German people did after World War 2–it took him a while. The Germans resisted it too after World War II for a long time. They were arguing that they’re just–they just lost the war and did nothing wrong besides losing the war.

But, today in Germany, you’d find it’s very difficult  how people would take that position.

RICK:

Right. Right.

The Palestinian Arabs Were Wrong

MITCH DANZIG:

But, the Palestinian Arab people have yet to recognize how wrong they were for saying “€œno”€ in 1937, how wrong they were for siding with the Nazis before 1940 before 1945, how wrong they were to express and espouse incredibly anti-Semitic beliefs about Jews having no connection to the Land of Israel, Jews not being a real people, Jews being the steelers of land and all this other stuff that they spread and believe, and the myths that Rashida Tlaid herself was espousing: this notion that Jews somehow  were welcomed by the Arabs with open arms and then nefariously stab them in the back and took their lands.

Or, that the Arabs somehow were the real victims of the Holocaust, that’s all of what’s embedded in her absurd comments that she made on that Skullduggery podcast. And, it’s all false.

And, believing that stuff isn’t going to help the Palestinian Arabs ever.

RICK:

Yeah, yeah.

MITCH DANZIG:

They need to accept and understand the reality of what happened real history. And, if they do that, then there’s plenty of room for compromise and plenty of room for there to be a way for meaningful peace and justice in the region. But, until they do that, there’s no chance.

Lies on College Campuses

RICK:

Yeah. Well, I guess my biggest concern–I hate to bring this up. We could do a whole other program on it for sure. But, it is her line, her lies that she’s telling in that podcast, almost verbatim, are what we”€™re teaching on college campuses.

That’s what we’re educating a whole generation of believe. That”€™s why her position is even politically palpable at this point.

MITCH DANZIG:

Of course, it touches right into what you just asked before: Why is she getting away with it? Well, it’s because too many people in the Democratic Party, including the present leadership– Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, et cetera–they’re looking at these college graduates with this quote “€œprogressive wing”€ of the party, and they’re glad that they’re seeing the writing on the wall. They’re like, “€œWe can’t stand up for truth.

“€œWe can’t call out the anti-Semitism of Rashid Tlaib, the ahistorical lies. {No one in our party can} call out the raw anti-Semitism of Ilhan Omar like we’d like to. {Our party} can’t actually have a resolution that condemns anti-Semitism, but have to have this watered-down, all-lives-matter resolution in the face of Ilhan Omar”€™s blatant anti-Semitic comments because we fear a revolt within our “€˜progressive”€™ [quote] group,”€ right?

Member Of Congress Found To Be Connected To Terrorism Supporters

And, that’s what allows this stuff to happen. Truth and justice are always at risk when you allow people to engage in revisionist history and conspiracy theories, right? And, that’s what is dominating here.

RICK:

Yeah, yeah. That is such a true statement, and that is the danger in every area of history.

But, certainly we’re seeing it play out right now in Congress with this one Mitch. We’re out of time.

It”€™s always so good and informative. I love talking to you and appreciate you coming on the program. Look forward to getting you back again soon.

MITCH DANZIG:

Thank you. Appreciate it.
