All right guys. Good News Friday today. Â I think David’s first up. What’s our first piece of good news, David?
The Pentagon Will Not Use or Reference the Southern Poverty Law Center Anymore
David:
I’m going to Washington, D.C., which is generally not good news but in this case, it is. Washington, D.C., going across the Potomac, over to the Pentagon. And inside the Pentagon we have a new announcement from the Pentagon, that they will not use any materials- any reference materials, any training materials, or any reference to the Southern Poverty Law Center and any of their instruction anymore.
Tim:
That’s great news.
David:
That’s great news.
Rick:
No kidding.
David:
For those that don’t know the Southern Poverty Law Center, which started in the 70″s as a civil rights group, kind of right behind MLK, etc. They have so spun off into progressive left group, that now every year they release what they call the “hate materials” and “the hate map of the United States.” Â 6- 700 groups on it, whatever it is. And those hate groups include Klan chapters, however, many hundred Klan chapters there are.
The Southern Poverty Law Center Makes Lists of “Hate Groups” and They Put Christian Groups on That List
But it also includes Christian ministry groups like Alliance Defending Freedom. Now Alliance Defending Freedom, I mean that’s one of our buddies on the legal side. All they do is litigate First Amendment cases on religious liberties, and they’re a “hate group.” Â That’s pretty wild.
And by the way, they’re formed with some of the premier attorneys in the nation, including civil rights attorneys. But because they have conservative values, they are a “hate group.”
And then you’ve also got WallBuilders was on that for a while. Â I mean we’re a “hate group,” because we think marriage should be between a man and a woman. Which obviously, if you’re for something, that means you hate everything else in their definition. So why aren’t they a hate group, because they hate those who stand for marriage, or stand for religion, liberty or?
A Man Went Into Family Research Council Intent on Killing Those People, Because He Saw FRC on SPLC”s “Hate Map”
Tim:
And actually back when the Family Research Council had a guy come in, came in with a gun and tried to shoot the place up. Their security guy had to subdue, and he actually got shot. Â This guy had a backpack full of Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, I think it is what it was.
And because Chick-Fil-A was this Christian company, who supported traditional marriage. Â And because Family Research Council is a Christian organization, who supports the pro-life position and Biblical definition of marriage. Â This guy actually went on the Southern Poverty Law Center”s “hate map” and saw the Family Research Council and said, “Well, if they’re a hate group, I’m going to go put a stop to it.”
David:
“I’m going to go hate the hate group. I’m going to go kill them all, and shove a Chick-Fil-A sandwich in their face after I shoot him.”
Tim:
But he used the Southern Poverty Law Center”s “hate map.”
Rick:
That was literally his plan.
David:
Yup.
The SPLC Disseminates An Awful Lot of “Hate” Toward Those They Disagree With
Tim:
It really was. And he used their “hate map” as his identifier of what groups he should target. And so you’re right. The irony is that this group, that is trying to say, “We need to stop hate,” is certainly disseminating an awful lot of hate toward everybody they disagree with.
Which disagreeing does not represent “hate” in the sense of- as a Christian, if I disagree with your behavior it doesn’t mean I hate you. In fact, we’re told to love people in spite of our disagreements. Â But that’s not the way the Southern Poverty Law Center views a Christian.
If You Disagree with the SPLC, You”re a “Hate Group” and Must Be Opposed
“If you disagree with any of the LGBT agenda, you disagree with men using women’s restrooms, if you disagree with any of these kinds of notions, then you must be a hateful person. Â And you’re terrible, and they should oppose you,” is the position they take.
David:
The people they have on here, pretty amazing, for those that may recall Dr. James Kennedy. Â Dr. James Kennedy Presbyterian minister was on TV for a long time. Really a balanced guy, loved him. He would take the Bible and economics, and the Bible and politics. Â He was just a great teacher.
That group is a “hate group” on the list. And actually, they have actually now sued the Southern Poverty Law Center because of that designation. By the way Southern Poverty Law Center-
The SPLC”s Labeling Defamates These Christian Organizations
Rick:
Well, something like that becomes defamation.
David:
You bet.
Rick:
I mean you”re creating an image of these Christian organizations, that are actually filled with love, of the exact opposite of what they’re really about.
SPLC Has $400 Million In Offshore Accounts
David:
That’s exactly right. So they’re suing to get their name back. Now Southern Poverty Law Center, by the way, I’m not quite sure what poverty has to do with it. Because they’re sitting on over $400 million from everything we understand, in offshore accounts that they’ve got. So they”ve raised a ton of money being a hate group. Â They are a hate group for hate groups or whatever they call “hate groups.”
So this is a racket for them. I mean they’re just scarfing in the money. And there is a great new video out on Prager University that covers the SPLC and who they are, and what they do. Â And how they get this money. So pretty amazing things.
Tim:
But the good news about this-
The Department of Defense Is No Longer Going to Use SPLC At All
David:
And the good news about this is that now the Department of Defense is no longer going to use them at all. And that’s really good news.
Rick:
What a difference an election makes, in terms of who- not just the president and the White House, but the decision makers in all these different federal agencies, including, in this case, the Pentagon.
David, you mentioned, I don’t know how long it’s been, a week or so ago whenever you went through your whole list of all the accomplishments of the Trump administration, all the positive things-
David:
So far.
Rick:
That have happened. This is this another one already.
Another Positive Thing From This Administration
David:
And remember we only got partway down the list because the music came in and we didn’t have all the time to go through all the list because it was way too long. But here we go again. I mean this is just, you’re exactly right Rick. This is another example that goes on that long list that we didn’t have time to go through.
Rick:
Let’s take a quick break. Tim Barton will have some good news for us when we return right here on WallBuilders Live.
A Moment From American History
This is Tim Barton from WallBuilders with another moment from American history. Too often today history education excludes great black heroes from the American founding. Such as Lemuel Haynes.
Haynes, though abandoned as a baby, pioneer churches across upper New England. He became the first black American to pastor a white congregation, to receive an honorary master’s degree, and to be ordained by a mainstream Christian denomination, The Congregationalist.
He was a soldier during the American Revolution and in his churches on George Washington’s birthday, he regularly preached sermons honoring George Washington. Even late in his life, he expressed his willingness to go back to battle if necessary to protect America, which he called, “a sacred ark.”
American history is filled with numerous examples of black heroes who are largely ignored by mainstream education today. For more information about Pastor Lemuel Haynes and other colonial Patriots go to WallBuilders.com.
Opposition on Trump”s Efforts to Protect the Borders
Rick:
Welcome back! Thanks for staying with us here on WallBuilders Live. It”s Good News Friday. Â David had some good news for the first segment. Tim Barton”s up next, Tim.
Tim:
Guys, this is another one from the White House, specifically from President Trump. One of the things that he has work to do, and we’ve seen a lot of stink about this, is he’s talked about wanting to protect the borders. And whether it’s he wants to build the wall, or whether it’s the immigration ban. Â Then all these federal judges- from whether it’s Washington, or Oregon, or Hawai, wherever they are. They’re saying, “Wait a second, you can’t limit this immigration from these groups.” Well, so all of that aside-
Rick:
And they did that, Tim, right, because Article 47 Section 92 of the Constitution says, “The court set immigration policy.” Something like that?
Tim:
Well, and specifically because if you’re in Hawaii, or Washington state, or Oregon, then that Mexico border is something that significantly impacts your state. Therefore, you have- Â That”s in your district, right? Because if you’re a federal judge, and you’re over this territory, this kind of district, and then that makes sense that they would be concerned with their southern border- that doesn’t touch any of their states.
Federal Judges Are Not to Make Immigration Policy
David:
Rick, you’re an attorney. Â What law school did you go to to get Section 92? And Tim, I thought you were a high school graduate. What geography course did you have that put Mexico adjoining the border of Hawaii?
Tim:
I read this really cool book called “Smart for Liberals,” and it gave me all this great information. That’s where I learned.
Anyway-
Rick:
I”m sorry to interrupt you. Â I just had to point out the idea of judges, federal judges, making immigration policy.
Tim:
Yeah.
Tim:
Liberals are applauding these decisions. How can you be happy about an unelected federal judge making immigration policy? This is “anti-constitutional republic.” Anyway. Sorry, go ahead.
Tim:
And this is and actually, I mean you’re right. Â We talk about it on the show. This is one of those moments where you should look and go, “Wait a second, the Constitution says you’re supposed to impeach judges for bad behavior. Well, this is bad, because unconstitutional. It”s out of their jurisdiction.” There’s a whole slew of things.
Obama Wanted To Bring in Muslims
Well, so back up to President Trump. One of the things that he’s done is President Obama, as he was leaving he really worked to open up the borders. He wanted to bring in a lot of Muslim immigrants. Â In fact, a lot from Syria. He said this should be our goal. And really he limited-
David:
I think, as I recall, what did a hundred thousand from Somalia that came? I think a hundred thousand Somalian Muslims were immigrants under Obama.
Tim:
So under Obama, one of the things that he said is he wanted 110,000 immigrants in 2017 to come, and actually a lot of them coming from Syria.
David:
Wow.
Tim:
Now Somalia, Syria it’s the same kind of Muslim ideology.
David:
I think Somalia was earlier. Â I don’t think that was this last year, I think it was earlier. But he brought in all sorts of huge populations.
Obama Really Limited Christians Coming Into America
Tim:
He did. And one of the things that President Obama did, was he really limited any Christians coming in. He didn’t, he said, “Look, Christians aren”t in trouble. ISIS isn’t targeting Christians. It’s the Muslims that are in trouble, and bring the Muslims to America.”
David:
And by the way, Â just to go to his point about the higher education he has. Christians in the Middle East were about 30 million a 1960″s, they”re down to 200,000 today. So, they’re not being targeted. I mean to go from 30 million to 200,000.
Tim:
To almost extinct.
David:
Right. To almost extinct. Â “They’re not being targeted.” And by the way, I talked to a congressman who said that in the last year of Obama’s administration, while they brought in nearly 100,000 Muslims, I think he told me either 52 or 57 Christians is all that was allowed to immigrate.
Tim:
Right.
David:
And refugee, they”re the ones being exterminated, not the Muslims.
Tim:
But not even one percent of Christians-
David:
It was 52 or 57 total, I forget which it was.
The Good News Is That Trump Has Reversed A Lot of These Obama Refugee Target Goals
Tim:
Well, this is one of the things that the good news in the midst of all of this nonsense we’re talking about. The good news is that President Trump has reversed a lot of those Obama refugee target goals, of saying we want 110,000 from Syria, whatever it is. Well, under Trump, first of all, those numbers have been cut more than in half at this point of the immigrants they’re bringing in.
And then, of course, he said we’re going to have basically the higher standards of people coming from Muslim nations. But the really interesting thing is that the majority of immigrants he’s brought in to this point have been Christians. So Christians are now outnumbering the Muslim immigrants that are coming to America. Which is what this article lays out. So really interesting, I mean I didn’t know that.
David:
Wow, I didn’t know that.
Tim:
I would”ve still guess that the majority were Muslim coming in.
David:
I didn’t know that.
Now the Majority Of Immigrants Coming In Are Christians
Tim:
But this article points out that the majority actually are now Christians coming from these Christian nations. That and even the ones that are bringing in, there”s a higher level of vetting which is what Trump had talked about.
Which is what those judges, federal judges, try to strike down the travel ban saying, “Wait a second. Â You can’t have higher vetting for people coming from ISIS nations. That’s unconstitutional.”
Nonsense. But that’s one of the things that they try to bring against him. Nonetheless, what President Trump has done is changed a lot of the demographic of the refugees and the immigrants we are bringing into America. So really good news when it looks at immigration
Rick:
And just a quick point on this too, David, you’re on the board. I can”t remember if you chair it or if you’re on the board of an organization that helps to rescue some of these Christians that have been kidnapped, some of the kids, some of the girls. Do some incredible missions.
We’ve had a guest on the program to talk about that. Â But I wonder how this will help in that regard- if that immigration policy is going to make it a little bit easier to get some of those Christians out and get them here to the U.S.
We Have Also Changed Our Policy On How We Deal With ISIS
David:
Well, not only has it helped that, but the other thing that’s helped is the Pentagon has changed its philosophy on how you deal with ISIS. We talked earlier that- before Obama had this policy of keeping ISIS on the move, so they don’t get a foothold. You did not want them to have a permanent base.
Well, Madis comes in and says, “Our new policy is annihilation. They’re just not going to exist.” And so since we have changed and gone to that policy. I think the first day in office he had, what was it? 31 strikes against ISIS the first day he was in.
We’ve gone after them. And now are- the work we’re doing in the Middle East now is changing somewhat. Â In that, we’re not having to rescue people like we did before. In the sense of we were taking- we sent thousands of people to Australia, and to Brazil, and to Canada.
We couldn’t send them to the United States because you can’t send Christians here under Obama. So we’re sending them everywhere else.
Now We’re Actually Going and Helping Rebuild These Places That Were Destroyed
But now we’re not doing that anymore. Now we’re actually going and helping rebuild these places that were destroyed. ISIS went in and just annihilated the churches, just killed the Christian churches. And so we’re helping rebuild that helping to get people back in their communities.
Now what we are having to do, is because ISIS still does exist. Just today I was informed that we have now performed our 93rd extraction. And an extraction is where a team goes in and literally takes a sex slave away from ISIS warriors. So we have intelligence that tells us where these guys are, what’s going on.
The Kurds are happy to go in, and get these girls free and bring them out. And so we’ve now had 93 extractions from within the country. But this isn’t the kind of thing where we’re having to send them out of the country anymore.
So we’ve seen enough of a change under President Trump, that we’re not having to send people out of the country. We’re being able to go in the country and start rebuilding. And there is a semblance of stability coming back. So the Christians are starting to have a little better place. It”s still not great on the Nineveh Plain, but it is certainly not what it was a year ago.
The Christians Don”t Want to Leave Their Countries
Rick:
And what a much, just better policy, smarter policy, more efficient policy, to be able to not have to move them, relocate them to other countries but help restore right there where they are. Where they want to stay.
David:
I tell you, and it’s really important to them. Because talking to, for example, Archbishop Warda who’s the archbishop over Iraq, they don’t want those folks. Â There’s only 200,000 left. Â They don’t want the Christian church gone from the cradle where it was when Jesus lived in that region.
I mean this is right around the Holy Land region. Â And these- Christianity has been there 2,000 years in that area.
I mean we’re talking Nineveh, where Biblical folks like Jonah were. They don’t want Christianity gone. And so while they were reluctantly letting us take these Christians out, they were really concerned that, “Man, they probably won”t– if they go to Australia, if they go to Slovakia, if they go to Brazil, or Canada- probably won’t come back. We want to rebuild the Christian Church, we don’t want it gone.”
The Christians Don”t Want the Church Gone From The Middle East
And so that really is a concern for the church leaders is, “Man, we don’t want the Christian church gone from the Middle East. We want it in the Middle East.” And it’s been hard. Â But it’s been hard before and bless their heart, man. They say– “Oh, I got word yesterday, one of the churches we just helped rebuild is now under attack. Â The Iraqi military is now attacking that church. And the pastor and 12 of his parishioners are holed up inside the church. Â And they don’t want to leave because the church has been rebuilt.”
They don’t want to leave the rebuilt church. So even though it’s much more stable. I mean those who are committed to staying behind and making sure the church does not die out in the Middle East. Â What courage. Facing what they face, and having to do what they do, it’s it’s great to see them do that.
Rick:
Gotta take a quick break. Â We’ll be right back with David and Tim Barton sharing some good news here on WallBuilders Live.
Tim:

November Is the Start Of Election Season
Rick:
We”re back! Thanks for staying with us here on WallBuilders Live. Good News Friday today. Get a little bit from both David and Tim. Â So, I guess, David, you’re up next.
David:
Well, Rick, here we are in November, and being in November, you know what time of the year this is?
Rick:
Well, every time you ask that question, the correct answer is Christmas, I think.
Tim:
That does seem to be correct when he asked that.  It’s probably fall in most of the states in the U.S.  In Texas, it’s still kind of summer.
David:
But for the whole nation, what is it?
Tim:
I assume we’re referencing, we’re going coming up on Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving holiday?
David:
Man, you guys are so-
Rick:
We”re way off?
David:
This is the start of election season guys.
Rick:
Oh!
Tim:
OK.
David:
We’re a year out from election.
Rick:
One year.
David:
So now we”re campaigning in 2018 elections. Midterm. Â Are you kidding? Rick, you were in office, you know this.
Rick:
This is time to start campaigning.
The House Recently Sent Through Bill that Bans Abortions After 20 Weeks
David:
This is time to start campaigning. And to that end, we had the House recently send through the law, that they banned all abortions after 20 weeks. So you can’t do abortions after 20 weeks. I think only two Democrats voted for that, which is radical. I think 72 percent of the nation does not support abortions after 20 weeks. Â But only two Democrats voted for that bill.
And over on the Senate side, they’ve got a bill from Lindsey Graham that says no abortions after 22 weeks. So it’s essentially the same as the House measure. But no late-term abortions. Â I mean and they call it Micah’s Law because Micah was born at 22 weeks old.
And so you’ve got children born at 22 weeks that live. Â So why are we killing them after that point? So with that bill out there, what happens is again Democrats are very, very much opposed to this.
America Is One Of Seven Nations That Still Allow Abortions After 20 Weeks
Tim:
And let me point out, we’re one of only seven nations that still allow abortions after 20 weeks.
David:
Yeah.
And of those seven nations, it includes North Korea and China. So it’s not a great seven to be in that list.
Rick:
Not the Magnificent Seven.
Tim:
Absolutely. But this is something the rest of the world has recognized- that this is kind of this abomination. Nobody wants this tarnish on them. Â But for whatever reason we do it.
Dad, you’re right. I mean, this is generally a political divide. It’s very cut and dry. And for whatever reason, Democrats are still supporting. And if you have a late-term abortion- late-term abortion are your dismemberment abortions.
David:
Yeah.
Democrats Still Seem To Be Adamantly Against Pro-Life
Tim:
That’s where they’re literally ripping the baby apart limb by limb. And I don’t know how anybody can support that. But this still seems to break, almost without exception, along party lines that Democrats seem to support the tearing apart of little babies inside the mother’s womb.
David:
It is very hard right now to get a Democrat co-sponsor on any pro-life measure, no matter how narrow that measure might be, like late-term abortions. So what happens– is it 30? I think there are 33 seats up this time in the Senate. Â And I think 20 of them are Democrats seats, is that right?
Tim:
Yeah, that is about right.
David:
I think it”s 20. So Democrats have a lot at stake here. And so polling was just done on this law introduced by Lindsey Graham, which parallels the House side. Â And it looked at battleground states where there are some U.S. Senate races that could go from Democrat to Republican.
And so Ohio, and Wisconsin, Montana, Missouri, Florida, North Dakota, etc., and the numbers are fairly amazing. Voters said, 56 percent of voters in Ohio, said, “We are less likely to vote for a U.S. senator who supports late-term abortions.” In Wisconsin, 57 percent said, “If we find a senator who supports late-term abortions, we’re less likely to vote for him.” In Montana, 59 percent, in Missouri 56 percent, and North Dakota 61 percent.
You Could See A Real Shift In Seats Coming Up
So all these Democrats that are sitting in the Senate, looking at a bill like this- if you have 61 percent of the state, or 59 percent, or 56 percent says, “We’re less likely to vote for you.” Â And they go ahead and pull the trigger on this bill. I guarantee you the pro-life groups are going to make sure everybody in the state knows about that.
This could be a bellwether issue for the campaign season if these guys vote wrong on this, or vote to kill this bill, or don’t pass it. You could see some real seat shifting in next time basically on the pro-life issue.
Tim:
And one of the good things too, you’re pointing out, that the House has done this bill banning late-term abortion after 20 weeks. Â The fact the Senate is making traction going the same direction. Because the House actually did a bill very similar back in 2015, did another in 2013, and it passed in the House again along party lines.
There Is Pro-Life Movement In Both the House and Senate
But when they got to the Senate there were pro-abortion Democrats in the Senate. Â Because that’s back when the Democrats really controlled the Senate. Â And they struck this down. And so the fact that now it looks like there was a bill very similar moving in the Senate. Hopefully, we can see something like this, that becomes law in America saying, “Look, we’re not going to do this late-term abortion in America.”
Now hopefully, we can back it up to 20 weeks. Â Or obviously, we’d love to see even less than that.
David:
How about two weeks.
Tim:
Oh yeah. After conception you-“re done. But it looks like we finally have traction in the Senate. Â Which is what we need to get this moving in the right direction.
Rick:
Another quick break, guys. We’ll be right back with some more good news. Stay with us. Â You’re listening to WallBuilders Live.

Brad Wenstrup Was Crucial In Saving Steve Scalise”s Life
Rick:
Thanks for staying with us here on WallBuilders Live. Got time for a little bit more good news today. Tim, you’re up, Bro.
Tim:
This is another one coming from Congress. Â Which I feel like we spent a lot of time in D.C. on most of today’s show but this one is a resolution. Â It”s a bipartisan resolution introduced by one of our buddies, Brad Wenstrup, who is the congressman from Ohio. He’s one of the congressmen that actually went on the Poland trip with us.
He is the one that when there was this shooting at the Republican baseball practice, he’s the one that went out and literally saved Steve Scalise”s life because he took that belt-
David:
What did he tell you when he looked at that the angle the bullet had gone into Steve, and he knew exactly-
Tim:
When he saw the way it went in, and he saw no exit wound, he knew that it had bounced around internally, and he knew that this was life-threatening. Steve, very likely was not going to make it. But he knew that if he was going to make it, there were some things that had to happen right then.
He takes a belt and essentially fashions this tourniquet to cut off the blood flow- and anyway. But he’s the guy that is credited with really saving Steve Scalise”s life.
Brad Wenstrup Introduced A Bipartisan Resolution Against Physicians Assisted Suicide
He introduces a resolution, again bipartisan resolution, but it’s against physician-assisted suicide. And it’s noting the dangers of physician-assisted suicide. And one of the things that this resolution points out is that physician-assisted suicide puts everyone, including those most vulnerable, at risk of deadly harm and undermines the integrity of the healthcare system.
Now Brad was actually a combat medic. Â So he was in the business of saving lives. Â And saving Steve Scalise”s life recognizes doctors are here to save lives. But the cool thing is this was also something that resonated with people from both sides of the aisle because you had R”s and Dem”s coming out saying, “Hey, we support this resolution.”
David:
And by the way, another thing that Brad did was after Scalise and these other guys had been shot, he recognized the PTSD that happens when you see humans shot down. Â And especially congressmen who are not trained for combat. He called every congressman and started working with them, and counseling them, and talking to them, so they wouldn’t have that PTSD kind of stuff.
It”s A Doctor”s Job to Help People, Not End Their Life

Hello Wallbuilders; Rick, David and Tim thank you for all you guys do in educating our fellow patriots about our Biblical, historical and constitutional heritage. I love what you guys are doing!
