Summary: When New York passed their homosexual marriage law, they did not observe proper procedure. The lobby was blocked so people could not talk to their legislators. In New York a bill must be made available to the members for review, three days prior to being passed. Their homosexual marriage law was passed on the same day. Also, Mayor Bloomberg actually persuaded republican senators to vote in favor of if with the bribe of personally fundraising for them.
