Welcome to the intersection of faith and the culture. It’s WallBuilders Live, we’re talking about today’s hottest topics on policy, faith, the culture, all of those things, where we look at them from a biblical, historical, and constitutional perspective. We’re so thankful that you’re here with us. David Barton is America’s premier historian and our founder here at WallBuilders. 

Tim Barton is a national speaker and pastor and president of WallBuilders. They are usually here with me. But today, we’ve got a special program for you. My name, by the way, is Rick Green. I’m a former Texas legislator and America’s Constitution coach.

But today, you’re going to be hearing from Glenn Beck. Yesterday, we started the presentation with Glenn, he spoke at our ProFamily Legislators Conference. And so we started that yesterday. Today, we’ll pick up right where we left off yesterday and then tomorrow, we’ll get the conclusion.

The Truth About Christians

Glenn:

You can’t destroy America, if people know the truth. It’s your job to know the truth. David thanked me a million times as I was walking out. Thank you for being here. Are you kidding me? This is an honor to be in a room full of people who are wide awake and are ready to stand for their country. It’s an honor.

Now, let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. Any Christians in this room? I know there’s a bunch of racists. You’re probably Christians too. And there’s no good that has ever come from Christians, except for this. This is from African tribes, black on black, killing other tribes, but not just killing them. This is from the early 1800s. 

We have it. I’ll tell you why in a minute. But this is a special device, because the tribe this came from they were killing other tribes. And this one could get between the ribs and work out all the meat because they were cannibals.

This is in our collection because missionaries, Christian missionaries, taught them the truth, stopped their cannibalism and took this away. So don’t tell me Christians have never done any good, or brought any good to the world. It’s what we do. 

It’s what we do. But if you erase this, and you just focus on Christians, wow, then they’re evil rulers that just want to take over the whole world and force Jesus down your throat. Now, we’re actually trying to take people out of their throats and teach them about God.

I will show you one thing, it’s unrelated, but I just thought it was cool. I wanted to bring it. And I wanted to bring it because, I don’t know about you. But do you ever watch stuff coming from Washington go, do they listen to the oath that they just took? Do they protect and defend the Constitution of the United States? 

Do They Know the Constitution?

They all drag it out. You know, when they’re talking about health care or something, it’s like, oh, it’s somewhere in the Constitution, I’m sure. No.

No, it’s not. But then they use that as a sword whenever they can. We love the Constitution. We just love it. They don’t know the Constitution.

This is the oath that was held right in front of Ronald Reagan. “I, Ronald Reagan do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God.”

I don’t know if he knows. I need to write any of that down, it’s not a big list of things I have to do. You know, there’s pretty much one thing, one thing. Do we even know it anymore? Or are we so hell bent as a society to get them, to take somebody else’s stuff, to make everything exactly equal? 

I don’t want everything exactly equal. There’s lots of people who have a lot more stuff than me and I think they’re cool. There’s lots of people who have a lot less than me, and they’re usually happier. Why equal?

A Moment from American History

This is Tim Barton from WallBuilders with another moment from American history. Many today assert that religion is something private, that it has no place in the public square, and that it is incompatible with government, but the Founding Fathers believed exactly the opposite. They held that religion was absolutely necessary in order to maintain our free system of government.

For example, John Adams declared “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion.” And signer of the Declaration, Benjamin Rush, similarly affirmed “Without religion, there can be no virtue and without virtue, there can be no liberty, and liberty is the object and life of all republican governments.”

Welcome back to WallBuilders Live. Today’s program is Glenn Beck at a ProFamily Legislators Conference. We’ll jump right back in where we left off right before the break.

Glenn:

An equal opportunity. Yes. Equal outcome. You probably much better at a lot of stuff than I am. This is honest, God’s truth. If the world ever breaks down, I got good storyteller in my pocket. That’s it. I’m the first to be eaten. 

Calling Evil “Good”

Okay. I have no skills other than that. No skills. So there are other people that have a lot more important skills than I do. Good. It takes all of us being different right now everything has to be exactly the same. Don’t deviate.

If you disagree with me on one thing, I can’t talk to you. You’re not my friend. When did we become that monster? When did we start calling tyranny the principles in the bill of rights and freedom, socialism, communism, authoritarianism? 

When did that happen? Because I think I missed an episode or two. I get up one day, and all of a sudden, it’s like, did we slip through wormhole all of a sudden, because this looks like the planet I was on and the country I lived in? But except the opposite principles.

I never understood how in those days good would be called evil and evil would be good, and the two sides wouldn’t understand each other. It’s like we’re speaking a different language. And I’m pretty sure I’m saying the same things I’ve always said.

 And 20 years ago, they were popular. Today, those same principles can get you banned from everything. And it’s getting worse.

How many of you know about the Great Reset? Okay. If you don’t, learn it. It is the next event. It’s you can go to the Worldeconomicforum.org. It’s a conspiracy site by right wing crazies. Or it’s the World Economic Forum.

And they have set out the Great Reset, because COVID has provided the world an excellent opportunity, a wonderful opportunity to balance things and make the world more equitable. And so we’ve got some really exciting things.

Shareholder Capitalism

They’re going to start rolling out, in January, they were supposed to really roll this all out for the world at Davos, but for some reason they have said we’re going to do it in the spring. But I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see by 2030 their goal, no private property. 

The immediate goal is to change the economic system. We love capitalism, boy. We’re the World Economic Forum. We love capitalism. We just want to make a little change or two. So we’ve come up with something called Shareholder Capitalism. Shareholders, it sounds very capitalist, doesn’t it? 

Sounds great. I feel like the monopoly man, just, wow, shareholders and capitalism, I’m fat and sassy, and it’s great. Except shareholder capitalism isn’t capitalism.

The best thing I can describe it to is something that was called him Nazism, National Socialism. Here’s what it is. The government tells everybody the plan. And then you can own a company, sure, but you’re a partner with the government. 

And there’s some things that government needs to do. And if you don’t like it, well, you can’t own that company. Alright. Though, some things we have to do, like, we’ve got a lot of equity that we got to be working on. We got to make sure everybody is equal.

We got to make sure that everybody who the government picks to be winners, that we think these people deserve it, that we think this country needs a little pick me up, you as the shareholder, and your capitalism, you’re partnering with me on a 60/40 split. I get 60, you get 40. And as long as you do everything I say, you can keep that company, kind of. I’ll tell you what to make. 

The Great Reset

I’ll tell you how to make it. I’ll tell you if you’re making too much of it. And if inflation starts to go crazy, don’t worry, we’ll just because we’re also making one world currency, and it’s going to be digitized money, so it’s going to be very easy for us to do. 

We’re just going to say, oh, your digits won’t work buying that stuff from that company anymore. We need to slow it down a bit. That’s just the beginning. Read about it in their own words. This is coming and COVID gave them the event that they needed.

You’re already hearing talk on television, from people, you watch CNN, oh, God, I don’t know how you do it. But if you watch CNN, you will hear them. They’ll say, the Great Reset, we’re going to have the new normal and we have to have a great reset. It’s already being washed into our system. And you guys are the only guys that can fix it. You guys are the only ones that can stop it. But most people don’t know.

Now let me show you a couple of things that you can pack away, take home. And remember, because you’re going to need it. We are entering times that I don’t think we have seen in the world since the 1930s. And anyone who dares stand, you better know who you are, and you better know why, and what we are. So let me give you a couple of things to help you.

America is horrible. Oh, my gosh! I love this argument. Oh, my gosh! All the wars. All the blood.

We’re the only country in the world that dropped the nuclear weapon on people. It’s horrible. Okay, I could have the argument of yeah, but we saved more people by ending it quickly. We saved more Japanese and more Americans than we would have if we would have just fought conventionally. They don’t listen to that.

The American Story

What Did America Do Before the Bomb?

Rick:

We’re back here on WallBuilders Live. Today, we have Glenn Beck sharing at the ProFamily Legislators Conference. Let’s jump right back in where we left off before the break.

Glenn:

This was dropped over Japan by Americans. Now in case you don’t read Japanese, big scary bomber with a star on it, that would be us, cities on fire underneath. So let’s say you’re Japanese and you still don’t read Japanese, you’d be like, if I see a plane like that with a star on it, my city is going to be on fire. Luckily, on the other side, in Japanese, is a note from the US government saying, please surrender. You are not our enemy. Your emperor will not surrender.

We have a new bomb that is more powerful than all of the bombs we dropped in the European campaign. And if you don’t surrender, we will drop it on your country. And we’re going to drop it in one of these 12 cities. 

In it, Nagasaki and Hiroshima, they’re listed. And it says it is coming. If you live in one of these 12 cities, please get out. Take your families, take food and water because it’s going to become very scarce. Get away, as far away as you can from those cities, then come back. But it’s coming if you don’t surrender.

Well, sure we dropped one or 70 million of these on the island of Japan. 70 million, have you ever seen one? Just to put that into perspective. That’s an actual person. For every one of these, that’s an actual voter for Donald Trump. And that’s 2:1 actual voters for Joe Biden. See, that’s wrong.

Who are you? If you’re angry, if you’re upset, if you have a grudge, let me tell you about Pomeroy Stone. Pomeroy Stone was a colonel in the American army. He’s actually kind of the first secret service kind of guy. He wasn’t Secret Service. It wasn’t invented yet. But he was the first one to protect the president coming in, and coming in was Abraham Lincoln.

And if you remember the story, Abraham Lincoln’s just like this nice guy, hey, I’m going to Washington. Isn’t it great? And by the time he gets to Baltimore, he’s seeing people on the streets that hate him. And he realizes, oh my gosh, they all think I’m Donald Trump.

And so what does he do? He has Pomeroy Stone there from the government, who is going to protect him. And they actually have to take him into a theater at night. And in that theater, he goes in, and then Pomeroy Stone says, okay, then get up.

Go to the bathroom, you know, go like you’re going to the bathroom, we’ll meet you at this door. They put a like an old sweater on top of him and they’re like, dude, loose the hat. Okay, everybody knows the hat. Loose the hat. Maybe hunched down a little bit like you’re old and infirm. And so he’s walking out the side of the theater like this.

And he gets into a carriage, take him to the train station, take him to Pittsburgh, not Washington, take him to Pittsburgh, because he knows they’re waiting for him in Washington. They’re going to try to kill him there. 

So it goes to Pittsburgh, and then takes another train to Washington all undercover. That’s Pomeroy Stone. He saved Abraham Lincoln. Well, Lincoln loves him. He’s just a colonel and then the Civil War happens.

Now the thing about Pomeroy Stone is he doesn’t hate the South. He just disagrees with them. He doesn’t hate them. I just disagree. Well, if you don’t have hate in your heart, you can’t be a good soldier. 

There’s no way you’re a good soldier. And all of the people in Congress don’t like him because he won’t ever testify that we got out kill everybody in the South. He’s just doing his job like I think most Americans did, hopefully, without malice.

A Great Injustice

So there are people that want to get him out of the army. So he’s in a battle and he’s actually not even actually physically at the battle, but he’s blamed for the loss of a lot of soldiers that he had nothing to do with, nothing to do with. But Congress uses this opportunity to take him out. 

Now they don’t have a trial. They keep threatening it. They arrest him, put him in jail, keep threatening, keep threatening. We’re going to have a trial one of these days. And he sits in jail for like six months for something he had nothing, he wasn’t even there. 

But Congress knows he wasn’t there. That’s why they can have a trial because he can clearly call witnesses and say, yeah, that guy, not there.

So he’s in jail, Abraham Lincoln finds out about it six months into it and says, what are you doing? What are you doing? Release him. They don’t. They don’t. They wait another six months. Abraham Lincoln finds out he’s still in jail and releases him himself.

How Much Do You Love America?

Pomeroy Stone is so upset because he’s been ripped apart in the papers, nobody wants to hire him. He’s like Donald Trump now. Where are you going to work? Nobody say anything good about you. So he decides to go over to Egypt and be a mercenary for the French and he helps the French in Egypt.

And he gets all kinds of awards and everything else and he’s over there. He comes back years later to America and he’s hoping that everybody has forgotten that he was the guy accused by Congress. Well, people remember and he still has nothing.

Now, put yourself in that situation: wrongly accused, smeared without a trial or a way to defend yourself. Congress puts you in jail for a year when the President said twice, take them out. Imagine! How much do you love America if you’re Pomeroy stone? 

How much do you want to serve your country if you’re Pomeroy stem? While he’s at home, knock on the door. Two guys showing up on his porch. Are you Pomeroy stone? Yes. Yeah, I hear you were over in Egypt. Yes. With the French people? Yes. So you speak French? Yes. Well, good. 

We’d like to talk to you about coming to work. Because the French just sent us all these boxes with a big head and arm and stuff in it, and there were no instructions. I mean, there were instructions but they were in French. Oh man, we don’t read French. You’re going to help us and some lady or something that we can put together. He says yes.

Charles Pomeroy Stone, this is the letter with his signature on, this is the purchasing order for the stones for the base of the Statue of Liberty. The man who erected Statue of Liberty, who built the foundation of the lady with a torch is a guy that was torched by his own country. He still believed in America.
