Faith And The Culture
Rick:
You’ve found your way to the intersection of faith and the culture. This is Wall Builders Live where we talk about the day’s hottest topics on policy, faith, and the culture, always doing that from a Biblical, historical, and Constitutional perspective.
What a great week to do exactly that.Â
This is Independence Day week so July 4th here in just a few days we’re gonna be celebrating the Declaration of Independence. Celebrating the independence of our nation. Celebrating our freedom.
Celebrating Our FreedomÂ
Of course at WallBuilders Live, we do that almost every day on the program. We’re talking about that biblical, historical and Constitutional perspective. We’re always diving into those freedoms; talking about that historical perspective of how we got what we have today, and what works what doesn’t work.Â
The Constitutional Perspective
Talking about that constitutional perspective. Talking about those jurisdictional lines that we drew in the Constitution. The proper role of government, how the Constitution was intended to work maybe where we’ve gotten off track in some areas, and what we as citizens can do to get us back on track.Â
The Biblical Perspective
And of course that biblical perspective – God’s instruction manual for us. It applies to every single area of our life, including our government, our society, our culture, and our community. The Maker knows exactly how our brains work, how our bodies work, how relationships work.Â
As our Founding Father Benjamin Rush, said the Bible is the map of the human heart. He knows. The designer, the creator, the manufacturer of us knows how we work.
Therefore he gave us his great instruction manual of how to rule our lives. How to make our decisions, how to come together in a community, and how to have civil liberty in the right way. How to live amongst each other in a way that will be prosperous and a blessing to all.Â
We Have So Many Great Tools
We have so many great tools at our fingertips that we talk about here at WallBuilders Live on how to make that happen, and this is a great week to do it.Â
Our Special July 4th Week Program
Very excited about our July 4th week. All throughout this week, we’re going to have programming aimed at July 4th and remembering our independence.Â
In this special form of freedom that we have, we will have some special guests throughout the week. We’re also going to be sharing some special programming that David and Tim Barton did on Independence Day. Really looking forward to every show that’s going to happen this week.Â
Live Shows This Week
Today, we’ve got a very special program because we’re actually looking forward to doing some live shows later this week. It’s not too late for you to join us at a couple of these live shows.
One of those is going to take place at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute out in Pahrump Nevada, where we’re going to have a great fireworks display, a comedy, and Constitution event where Brad Stine and I will join for both comedy and the Constitution.Â
The Ark Encounter
After that, we’re headed out to Cincinnati actually Kentucky we’re flying into the Cincinnati airport, but with them, we’re traveling over to the Ark Encounter. Check out Ark Encounter.com to learn more. At the Ark Encounter this weekend, we’ll be performing the Comedy Constitution on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Celebrating our independence again as a nation.Â
It’s going to be a great week. I hope that you can join us as well.Â

Bring A Speaker To Your Area
Tim:
Hey, this is Tim Barton with WallBuilders. And, as you’ve had the opportunity to listen to WallBuilders Live, you’ve probably heard a wealth of information about our nation, about our spiritual heritage, about the religious liberties, and about all the things that make America exceptional.Â
And, you might be thinking, “As incredible as this information is, I wish there were a way that I could get one of the WallBuilders guys to come to my area and share with my group.”
Whether it be a church, whether it be a Christian school, or public school, or some political event, or activity, if you’re interested in having a WallBuilders speaker come to your area, you can get on our website at www.WallBuilders.com, and there’s a tab for scheduling.
If you click on that tab, you’ll notice there’s a list of information from speakers bio’s, to events that are already going on. And, there’s a section where you can request an event, to bring this information about who we are, where we came from, our religious liberties, and freedoms. Go to the WallBuilders website and Bring a speaker to your area.
Rick:
Welcome back to WallBuilders Live. Thanks for staying with us today, the beginning of our Independence weekend July 4th. Here, in just a couple of days so we’re spending the whole week celebrating America’s independence, and no better way to do that than with my good friend, God’s comic, a great American patriot who loves liberty and loves the Constitution Brad Stine with us.Â
Brad Stine
Brad, good to have you, man.
Brad:
It’s always good to be here. When I heard it was celebrating the 4th. I went out to a bunch of stuff up. That’s all that matters. I am in intensive care as we speak. I’m on two IVs, but it was worth it because I had my fireworks.
Rick:
How many fingers did you lose in your fireworks explosion?Â
Brad:
I lost two, but that’s standard. If you don’t lose two, you should be. Listen, if you’re not losing at least a digit, it isn’t real fireworks. Let’s just put it like that.Â
But I’m back in shape. I have plenty of flesh on my thigh, so I got to go up the back. I’m good. I’m ready for next year already, and I feel like things are going to blow up.
Rick:
Now that’s very different. Your fireworks on July 4th in Nashville, where you live now, then it was in California. Did you use to get to blow things up in California?
Californians Inhibit Freedom And Liberty In Every Way
Brad:
Let me explain something to you about California. It’s a nice state. It has beautiful weather. It has wonderful topography. You can get the wine country, you know big cities, you can have the desert or the ocean. There’s nothing like it when it comes to that.Â
Unfortunately, it has one flaw: It’s filled with people. Those people have a different philosophical, ideological bent than basically most of America.
They’ve kind of turned it into a bit of a train wreck. We’ve all seen it. I mean this isn’t pandering to my base. This isn’t me just being mean spirited.Â
Any kind of philosophy, worldview, or political ideology has consequences. Now sometimes they’re good, sometimes they’re bad. Sometimes they lead to more liberty, sometimes they lead to less.Â
And I think that Californians in every way and shape and form tries to inhibit freedom and liberty. Just ideologically just but as you said in the Fourth (amendment).
I mean, it is difficult. You needed to get government approval to buy a packet of snakes. Rick:
Those kinds of things that burn but don’t even really move?
Brad:
They don’t move, they make ash. Do you hear what I’m saying? In California, if you want to celebrate the 4th of July, they burn ashes. That’s a big deal to them.Â
Maybe some smoke bombs. Nothing with fire. Whatever you do, we don’t. We just make noises to simulate explosions because God forbid any of our children get to experience what an actual firework might be.Â
If you do have to get anywhere near a firework, you have to be in a hazmat suit behind a brick wall in Plexiglas.
Even then, you’re probably going to get fined. But it’s a whole different world.Â
In Tennessee, where my fireworks come with a mortar tube. Fifteen-inch of a fuse, I just use just enough time to leap into the neighbor’s bushes.Â
I’m telling you if a firework doesn’t have the capability to blow your head clean off your shoulders, it’s a match. That’s all I’m saying. Speaking of fireworks – unbelievable.
Comedy Constitution
Rick:Â
Yes. Well, speaking of blowing things up and lots of fireworks with fire, smoke, explosions, and really cool in-the-sky type fireworks, you and I will get to see an incredible fireworks display this week while we’re out in Nevada.
In fact, we’re going to have a couple of nights together here on July 4th week performing our Comedy Constitution.Â
The first one is going to be two nights from now. It’s on Wednesday night in Pahrump, Nevada. So those Californians that don’t get to see good fireworks, you need to be a member a Front Sight and drive over to Pahrump, and you’ll see at midnight right as July 4th strikes, an incredible fireworks display.Â
Before that, Brad, you and I are going to do the Comedy Constitution.Â
Brad:Â
Yeah, it’s going to be fun at Front Sight. I know you’ve been partnering with them for quite some time. I got to go for the first time here maybe a month or so ago, I don’t remember now. I’m still giddy from the excitement. I can’t think straight, but now I sleep with my glock under my pillow and I and kiss him goodnight actually. It was a wonderful experience.Â
4-Day Front Sight Training
I did the four-day class, and really, you know got to understand my firearm.
Of course, I left with not only more respect but more capability to handle it, so that was a wonderful experience. And I hope to go more to keep up on being a good citizen, and responsible gun carrier. But it was crazy fun.Â
The people that go there are just regular old Americans that love this country, love barbecues, love fireworks, love freedom, and love liberty. It’s such a wonderful place to do and learn about our Constitution.Â
Rick:
We had a great time having you there. We had a pretty big group that came with us on that trip, and they loved it because you jumped in with me on the night we actually teach the Constitution.Â
Instead of just doing the Constitution part, you jumped in and gave us some good comedy. We did our Comedy and Constitution mix, and everybody was screaming for more. So, we’re looking forward to having you know on future dates, where people can come and see the Comedy Constitution, and train on the range, and even if they’ve never touched a firearm as you said, get comfortable with it.Â
(They would) Get the right skills, and be comfortable protecting their family but also get some good intellectual ammunition. Learning about the second amendment and the Constitution.Â
For those that are already members of Front Sight, come out on July 3rd, the evening of July 3rd. We’ll be doing that in just a couple of days, and then the big fireworks display after that.Â
If you’re not, then come with us on a future trip, We’re gonna be going about once a month so come with us on a future trip. If Brad’s with us, we’ll do comedy and Constitution. If he’s not, I’ll do the Constitution class.Â
Either way, you get to do the handgun training during the day, and you can find out more. There are all kinds of dates coming up in the fall and spring.Â
Go to RickGreen.com to find out more on that.Â
Rick And Brad At The Ark Encounter
But the day after that Brad, we’re going to leave Front Sight, and fly from Las Vegas out to Cincinnati drive right there into Kentucky. So we fly into Cincinnati, but then we drive over to Kentucky. You and I are going to be at none other than the Ark Encounter.Â
Now, you’ve been out there multiple times. I’ve been once, but you’ve already performed out there at their auditorium. We’re going to be doing Comedy Constitution all weekend July 4th.Â
Folks, it’s not too late. You can get in the car drive out there or get a flight to get there to the Ark. Forget Comedy Constitution for a second Brad, tell us about the Ark itself.
The Ark
Brad:
Well, I mean it’s quite an amazing experience. They wanted to create a duplication of the Ark. Obviously, they didn’t use the original Ark because we’re not quite sure where that went. But had they had any girders left, they would have used those, but they didn’t have them.Â
What they did was use the biblical template for how God Almighty said, here’s how I want you to build the boat, and trust me you’re going to need this soon when you see what’s coming.Â
This was of course before even rain occurred on Earth. So this was a big deal for this man to make this boat, and go I’m not sure why making a boat in the middle of the field but OK God, I guess you know more than me. Sure enough, we have one of the most famous stories in human history.Â
They built a boat that is to scale. It looks very similar I guess to what the Ark looks like. I don’t know if he knows exactly what it is because a lot of the photographs were lost in the flood.Â
Yeah, what a tragedy.Â
Rick:
Noah’s Ark photo album, no more.
Brad:
It’s water dampness. I’m telling you because it was early photography, so things were quite unsophisticated. Really didn’t take much to ruin the pictures because the photography was done with the hieroglyphics. It was actually a sketch pad.Â
Anyway, that’s a whole other story we’ll get to that later.
Rick:
Wait, so you’ve actually walked through the inside too right? You’ve seen the largeness of it as compared to when you walk up and see how big it is from the outside.
Did you go do the tour on the inside and see all the intricate detail?
Tour Inside The Ark
Brad:
Yeah, so you go inside and it kind of winds around. You can kind of go up, and I think it’s three stories. I don’t know if they let you in the third story though they’re thinking about making a private restaurant up there that would be like a five-star restaurant or not.
A lot of people might be familiar with the creation museum because it’s the same ministry that runs The Ark. They really have these segments where you can really get educated about how Noah would have stored food. How would you get that many animals into a boat? That seems ridiculous, you know, that can’t happen.Â
He talked about if you had a giant animal of some kind, you take them when they are babies. It’s not like they brought some gigantic elephants, full grown. Take small ones. So it just kind of gives you all this information, and it’s very interesting, of course.
It’s great for the kids to see this, and see that there’s some intellectual information that you can observe about a biblical story. It’s done with entertainment.
Comedy Constitution At The New Event Center
They’ve also just recently opened an event center and what they want to do is provide the best Christian live entertainment in the country. That’s really what they want to do. Of course, it’s their brand new show, and a lot of folks don’t even know that’s there.Â
They go there. They bring the kids. Kids get tired they go home, and they don’t realize there are things you can go see.Â
You and I were able to partner with them being as the fourth (of July) is the first one that they will have with this new venue .we’re going to do the Comedy Constitution to it so folks can come in to see it. I do comedy, but it always has something to do with First Amendment, liberty, free speech. Maybe something to do with Americana, something to do with the founding fathers, and it’s all fun.
It always has a point of view if you’re familiar with my comedy.Â
That’s what I’ve always done. If you’re not that’s what I do, and you might be interested in bringing that or even a skeptical person that might find Christians can actually be funny.
And then, of course, you (Rick) an expert on the Constitution. An expert on the founding fathers, and actually with America’s Christian heritage.
Really combining these wonderful stories of America, and who we were, and what the moral obligations the founders felt was crucial for this country to survive without a Christian heritage.Â
Your kids saying well I think you’re bringing in a surprise sort of musical guest and we’re just really want to encourage you guys. If you didn’t really know what to do on the 4th, and you were going to do the typical: go to the park and watch the fireworks kind of thing.
Go see The Ark, support this ministry. I think they’re doing fireworks that day, but if they’re not, you certainly can get a patriotic display in the events center.
I think it’s part of the package of coming in. I don’t even know if they’re charging tickets. Do you remember?
Rick:
I don’t think they are. I think it’s part of their special July 4th celebrations. They’re very patriotic. They know most people that tend to go to the Ark are patriotic. They’re excited about us doing this to engage and equip people as they leave to be better citizens and better do their part as citizens to preserve America as well.Â
It’s a great combination – you get some really good biblical education as well as constitutional and historical education. In fact, Brad let me give out a couple of websites really quick.
Your website, first of all, BradStine.com. They can get on see your schedule where you’re gonna be throughout this year, and also get your DVDs, and some of your incredible programs that you have. You got the God Experience, and all these other great programs you do. And so, Bradstine.com. We’ll have a link today at Wallbuilderslive.com
for you to make it easier to jump over.
Also, ArkEncounter.com is how you learn more about the Ark. ArkEncounter.com, and we’ll have a link for that as well.Â
Three Nights Of Comedy And Constitution
But Brad, we’re going to be doing three shows. So on the evening of July 5th, July 6th and July 7th. So, that’s Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Folks would get a chance to see this full theatrical comedy and Constitution.
As you said, it’s lights, cameras, videos, and music. It’s a powerful show that will really make you appreciate being an American. It will give you some action steps on how to how to save this country, and make sure that we’re passing it intact to the next generations.Â
It’s a perfect opportunity, if you love America if you love the Constitution, you love the Bible, and you want to see the Bible come to life. There’s a great time to do it. It’s this weekend. It’s not too late to go. Hop in the car.
They positioned the Ark. They chose this place right there in the Midwest because it’s in the center of a massive population of folks. Many of you that are listening to us, especially in our bought radio stations, you’re within three, four, or five hours of the Ark so it’s pretty easy to make that decision.Â
Join Us This Weekend At The Ark
Even though it’s a little bit last minute, make that decision to join us this weekend. I promise you, you’re gonna bust a gut laughing at Brad Stine. It’s just a phenomenal fun show. You’re also gonna get some really good biblical education going through the Ark. Brad, I’m looking forward to it, man.
I’m looking forward to spending Wednesday night doing Comedy Constitution with you out at Front Sight. Then heading over to the Ark Encounter there in Kentucky, and being able to do three shows with you this weekend. We are going to have a great time.
Brad:Â
Yeah I am too, and for those again might not be familiar with me, many might not have seen what we together, my closing thought is to keep in mind that there’s a lot of patriotic shows out there over the years. You can go to Branson Missouri or up to Gatlinburg or sight and sound theater in Pennsylvania and Branson and so forth.Â
But you know the one thing that was very important to us was yes we want to entertain people, yes we want them to enjoy himself. Yes, we want them to be invigorated inspired about the Bible, and about the Constitution, and about our heritage.
But we did want to give them information and educate them amid the entertainment, so they actually leave as better citizens and better equipped. As you said intellectually, to understand their rights and what it means to actually be the government of the United States of America, which is the people.Â
I just want people to understand that there’s more or substance than just you know flag waving. There’s something about being a call to arms, and marching orders as to how to defend this nation, and your liberties as a person of faith. Or if that’s not where you come from, at least a person who believes in liberty. So that’s what we’re all about.Â
I can’t wait to see people. We should have some secret code for people who come to show because we want the Ark to know that we are sending people to them because we want to participate in helping them and their ministry grow and bring more types of events to the center.Â
We can do this by people coming and making this part of their vacation and destination point. Make sure you tell people when you get there.Â
Say, Rick and Brad sent me, and they said that would give me some special. Just say that. They won’t know what that means.
Nobody will know what that means but at least it will confuse the ticket tellers if nothing else.
Rick:
Oh, what a perfect time to do this. July 4th Independence Day. It’s a chance to celebrate our wonderful nation. Celebrate our Declaration of Independence.Â
Even though the Constitution was the date, we celebrate that is a few months later in September, this a great time to be reminded of our founding documents.
We’re looking forward to actually, as Brad said, entertaining but also educating, and giving folks action steps that they can take to preserve this great nation.Â
So, come join us folks will be at the Ark on July 5th -Â 7th.Â
If you can’t make it this weekend to be there for the comedy and Constitution, go visit the Ark when you can. Also, be sure to check out our schedule for Comedy Constitution.Â
Bring Comedy Constitution to Your Area
Maybe your church wants to bring us in, or some other group wants to bring us in to do the Comedy Constitution in your area. We’ve got Constitution coaches now that are teaching the Constitution all over the country, and we’re going to be going in and doing Comedy Constitutions for those groups around the country.
This is really growing. It’s a great way to educate, inspire, and entertain all at the same time.Â
Check it out at our websites today.Â
Go to Brad Stine.com, ArkEncounter.com, RickGreen.com, and WallBuildersLive.com.Â
I know that’s a lot of websites, but if you’re listening through WallBuildersLive.com, we’ll make it easy to put them all on that website today.Â
Brad Stein, see you in a couple days. Thanks for the time to be on air with us today.
Brad:
Yes, sir. Listen, I got to go blow something up.
Rick:
Stay with us folks, we’ll be right back at WallBuilders Live.
Constitution Alive!
Have you ever wanted to learn more about the United States Constitution but just felt like, man, the classes are boring, or it’s just that old language from 200 years ago, or I don’t know where to start? People want to know. But, it gets frustrating because you don’t know where to look for truth about the Constitution either.Â
Well, we’ve got a special program for you available now called Constitution Alive! with David Barton and Rick Green. It’s actually a teaching done on the Constitution at Independence Hall in the very room where the Constitution was framed. We take you both to Philadelphia, the Cradle of Liberty and Independence Hall, and to the WallBuilders’ library where David Barton brings the history to life to teach the original intent of our Founding Fathers.Â
We call it the QuickStart guide to the Constitution because in just a few hours through these videos, you will learn the Citizen’s Guide to America’s Constitution. You’ll learn what you need to do to help save our Constitutional Republic. It’s fun! It’s entertaining!Â
It’s going to inspire you to do your part to preserve freedom for future generations. It’s called Constitution Alive with David Barton and Rick Green. You can find out more information on our website now at WallBuilders.com.
Rick:Â
Welcome back to Wallbuilders Live. Thanks for staying with us today. Special thanks to Brad Stein for being our guest today on the program, and for doing so many fun things with us with Comedy Constitution and the other things that Brad does.Â
Entertaining Education
I love the fact that Brad engages in entertaining education. I think one of the reasons people too often tune out history and government, I mean I was like that I hated history, government when I was growing up. I hated it in high school and college.Â
It wasn’t until David Barton’s cassette tape. Yes, it’s been, but it was when his cassette tape was handed to me by someone, and I listen to David bring history to life. (He) Give me an education in an entertaining way.
Through the eyes of the people that lived it, and David really just opened my eyes to how fun history can be, how important history is, how important government is, and how important it is to know the Constitution.Â
Now to be able to have Brad Stine coming along with us as well, bringing in the comedy into it as. Understanding the importance of using comedy in a fun way. Being entertained but then he is so good.Â
Until you have seen Brad live, you won’t understand this until you see him live.Â
Those of you that have seen him, so good at having you laugh and so hard and then boom he hit you with a powerful biblical, constitutional or historical point.Â
It’s a fun way to learn, and we’re just thrilled to be having so many opportunities to team up with him.Â
Come And See Comedy Constitution At The Ark
Looking forward to seeing you hopefully at one of these events coming up soon.Â
Of course, as Brad and I talked about will be a Front Sight Wednesday night of this week and then Friday, Saturday and Sunday night out at the Ark Encounter. Check out ArkEncounter.com to find out how you can get tickets to go to the Ark Encounter this weekend.Â
In one day, you can see most of the Ark and have a pretty detailed experience there at the Ark. Then in the evening see our Comedy Constitution show.Â
I really encourage you to pick one of those days: Friday, Saturday or Sunday this weekend and head on over to Cincinnati, to the Ark.Â
I keep saying Cincinnati, it’s actually located in Kentucky. The Cincinnati airports on the Kentucky side of the border there but it’s in Williamstown, Kentucky just about 20 minutes away from the Cincinnati airport.Â
It’s just a great experience. Really encourage you to check it out. ArkEncounter.com.Â
Join us, and you’ll have a great time.Â
Comedy Constitution Across The Nation
Can’t make it this weekend, Brad and are doing these Comedy Constitution events all across the nation. If you’d like to bring this type of entertaining education: that will challenge people to study the Constitution, get them into a constitution class, get them digging deep, and learning how to be a good citizen then please go to our website today.
You can either go to RickGreen.com or WallBuilders.com or PatriotAcademy.com and just put in a request form for the Comedy and Constitution event to come to your community.
You may want to join us at a live event that’s going to take place. As I said, we’re heading out to Front Sight once a month. If you want to come train, and learn how to defend your family both intellectually, defend the Constitution, but then also physically be able to defend your family with firearms.
It’s a great way to learn. It’s a fun time. It’s good fellowship. It’s safe, and they’re the best in the world at doing this.Â
It’s the largest firearms training facility in America, and their instructors are just phenomenal.Â
Hope you can join us at one of those events. Thanks so much for listening today. You’ve been listening to WallBuilders Live.
I shared to my Facebook.
